Letting (Sublets)
Lease Provisions
- Note that leases contains certain provisions pertaining to sub-letting, i.e. there should be absolutely no short lets (anything less than 6 months) and flats should be let to a single family occupation only. Flats may not be let to groups of students, housemates, etc.
- Airbnb, Bookings.com, Veeve and other holiday lets are strictly prohibited.
- Note that in the case of suspected short letting the building management reserves the right to use the access control system and CCTV footage to compile evidence against short letting or other breaches of lease.
- All lets should be subject to an Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement (AST) which complies with the conditions of the apartment owner’s lease. A copy of the AST, plus contact details of the tenants, should be emailed to the Building Manager info@bickehallmansions.co.uk prior to the start of the agreement so that contact details can be securely logged (following Data Protection Procedures) and proper security maintained regarding the activation of the relevant key fobs. A minimum of a six-month break clause is allowed in the AST.
